In May 1940 God answered the prayers of many who came to pray for the British and French troops. King George VI ordered all church doors open for prayer...and they came...and they came...and they prayed! Because of that prayer over 300,000 troops - yes - 300,000 - were rescued from the certain annihilation or imprisonment from Hitler's army. the Miracle of Dunkirk is a truly remarkable God story that shows how He wants us to come to him. And He is begging us to come to Him again.
Recently during my morning devotion I was reading this remarkable story again and asked God - what can we do - this is what we, as a community, state, school, nation and church need! God gave me the answer with a date...AUGUST 17, 2014...and a time 5:00pm.
I prayed about this for 2 weeks before discussing it with my friend and prayer partner, Kay, and then with my Bible Study group. It is certainly on my heart that God gave me this date and so now it is in the works. I know I will be met with negative remarks and people who question my reasoning but I am on my way to getting this underway. Not just in my community but across the United States. Contacts have been made and people are reading God's challenge. OPEN THE DOORS FOR PRAYER - is a strong step - a step towards knowing that God does answer prayer and He is waiting for us to come to Him.
Will you join us for this challenge?
Please pass this on to your church, nursing home, college, university, work place.
For churches - please OPEN THE DOORS FOR PRAYER - for other places - create a space for people to gather - at your work place - take your break at 5pm and pray...
Join others in a united prayer for the Lord to raise up, strengthen and refresh the spiritual leadership in our nation; for the spiritual leaders to have a sincere burden and passion to see God move through the nation; for God to raise up believers who are broken over the condition of our nation and yes that the Lord would give us a passionate prayer with tears for revival and another great awakening!
Please let us know if you will be joining the unity of others in prayer...comment on this blog, send a message through this website, email to firstname.lastname@example.org or call - 336-953-4151.
