Anniversaries are celebrated for many things - wedding dates, born again dates, birthdays, first dates, church membership, purchasing your first home, freeing yourself from substance abuse, getting your first "A" on your report card, being on the principals list, when the scales become your friend again...you name it there are many and it is fun to celebrate them! They are milestones in your life!
When the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, is the head of your home, and your husband is your king and you are his queen - what a life it is! Not without "issues", but doable issues with that lineup!
The life we live, the life we lead, the life we show our children and grandchildren is a life that should be cherished daily - a daily milestone - a daily accomplishment. The accomplishment of serving, loving, being faithful, taking care of yourself so you can care for others, spending time with Jesus, turning off the electronics and actually talking, reading the Word to someone so you can share Him - they are all milestones.
What have we taught our children or our grandchildren today? Have we taught them the importance of milestones, of anniversaries, of sticking to it even during the hard times, working toward a goal and reaching that milestone...
